UASC receives latest ship from Hyundai


United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) held a special ceremony in Korea last month to celebrate the delivery of its latest ship from Hyundai Heavy Industries Limited.
The company, which is owned by six Arabian Gulf states (United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iraq), has named the vessel M.V. Al Manamah.

“With a continued resurgence in the maritime industry, it’s time for shipping lines to modernise their fleet and enhance the service levels being provided to customers at competitive prices,” said Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Al Khalifa, board member of UASC and chairman of the General Organisation of Sea Ports (GOP).
